- During the previous years, Gemsstock glacier has been tremendously retreated and skiers had to walk before to start their downhill. To keep a good shape to their skiing slopes, officials of Andermatt city had decided to, first : - build a steel ramp with steel armature, ice and snow. - cover the high part of the glacier during summer season to keep the trail for skiers in winter.
