// France - Moselle (57) - Metz - Cathedral Saint Etienne - Treasure: This sculpted head is the only vestige of the Grand Organ removed in 1806. When the organist played the lowest note on the keyboard, the Gueulard opened his mouth with his articulated jaw; his grimaces then ensured the distraction of onlookers during offices. Le Gueulard was found in an attic in Metz in the 18th century.
