Although its southern portion has been destroyed, the ancient stadium of Nemee remains one of the best preserved. In the foreground, the stones are aligned to represent the starting line topped by the hysplex, rebuilt by American archaeologist Sephen G. Miller, professor at the University of California at Berkeley and in charge of the Nemee site digs for 25 years.
