Paris (75) - Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris : A hauteur de la grande galerie des chimeres et gargouilles, imaginees par l'architecte Viollet le Duc, le grand restaurateur de la cathedrale au XIXe siecle. Domine par une chimere de la tour Sud, le parvis Notre Dame et la place Jean Paul II. Cette esplanade date des amenagements urbains realises par le Baron Haussmann, au XIXe siecle. En arriere plan de g. a d., l'eglise Saint Sulpice, les Invalides, la Tour Eiffel, le bras sud de la Seine, la Prefecture de Police, la Sainte Chapelle, le Palais de Justice, le Chatelet, la Butte Montmartre et la Tour Saint Jacques. Altitude 43 metres. // France - Paris (75) - Cathedral Notre Dame de Paris : At the level of the great gallery of chimeras and gargoyles, designed by the architect Viollet-le-Duc, the great restorer of the cathedral in the nineteenth century. Dominated by a chimera of the south tower, the parvis of Notre Dame and the square Jean Paul II. The esplanade has been built by Baron Haussmann in the nineteenth century.
