Ses batisseurs l'ont elevee pierre a pierre, a partir de simples plans, devinant, mais sans jamais le voir, l'effet qu'elle aurait vue du ciel. Au premier plan (de g. a d.), la Prefecture de Police, le parvis Notre Dame et le square Jean XXIII. Au second plan (de g. a d.), le palais de Justice et l'ecole de la Magistrature. En arriere plan (de g. a d.), la butte Montmartre, la place du Chatelet, l'Hotel de Ville et l'ile Saint Louis.
