In the tomb of royal priest Hau-Nefer, Vassil Dobrev’s team continues to clear the imposing limestone façade, miraculously preserved from time. The reliefs and the pigments adorning the walls are amazingly pristine. While Vassil Dobrev uncovers a considerable text, Bernard Mathieu, the director of the IFAO, member of the Tabbet al-Guesh mission and one of France’s most esteemed epigraphists rushes to transcribe the hieroglyphic writing onto paper.
