The southern part of the roadway (on the left) was pushed a distance of 171 meters in mid air before joining the northern part. The metallic red structure framing the northern roadway served as a guide during the junction. It was also a scaffolding for the welders who assembled the two parts of the bridge in about 40 hours. In the background, the village of Peyre.
