Saint Mihiel Salient: St. Gerard Church, in the village of Marbotte, near Apremont Forest sector. It was the first village crossed by soldiers returning from the front. This is why the church was transformed as an infirmary, then a morgue for French soldiers. Today, many families plates of soldiers killed in action are placed at the entrance. Inside the church, memorial windows are remarkable.
