Battles of the Marne : Memorial of Battles of the Marne in Dormans (one of the four french national cemeteries with those of Notre Dame de Lorette, Douaumont and Old Armand). The memorial was set among vineyards on a hill overlooking the city of Dormans and the river Marne. The site was chosen after the first World War by french Marshal Foch to commemorate the two battles of the Marne. The tower erected on top of the memorial is 52 meters high and offers a great view over the valley of the Marne, located in low-cons and a good part of the battlefield of 1914-1918. Here, the Chapel of Remembrance.
