The Chemin des Dames: The mutinies of 1917: Albert Truton is one of the infantry soldiers entered in mutiny and executed for treason ahead the enemy. He is buried in the military cemetery of Cerny en Laonnois, without specific reference to his grave. In the same village, the chapel and the memorial memorial Chemin des Dames, currently being restored. On April 16, 1917 at 6:00 am begins the great offensive commanded by french General Nivelle, to end the endless trench warfare. Nearly a million people were gathered between Soissons (west) and Reims (east). Without an appropriate strategy, it has been a dismal failure for the French army, which cause the largest movement of mutinies of war and the resignation of Nivelle.
