Villedieu les Poëles, Cornille Havard foundry, France. May 26, 2012. Specializing in decoration of bells, Virginie Bassetti, whose project for the bells of Notre Dame has been selected after a contest, put her first hand on the bell Étienne (note F, 1490 kg). Each decoration was cast in wax, by hand, and placed on the "false bell" between the core and the cover (see draw, photo 15). Molded as last, the cap follows the contours of the decoration in order to faithfully reproduce it on the sides of the bell.
