North side of the cathedral, rue du Cloitre Notre Dame. Portal of the Cloister, brought in 1250 by Jean de Chelles. On the three storeys of the tympanum, scenes from the life of the Virgin (bottom) and the history of deacon Theophilus, who was played in the Middle Ages on the western parvis (center and top). The Virgin of the pier, a masterpiece of sculpture of the thirteenth century, has unfortunately lost her child during the Restoration period (beginning of nineteen century). 8 meters altitude.
