At the height of the portals of the west facade. North of the western façade overview of the Portal of the Virgin, which has served as a model for image-makers throughout the Middle Ages. The central tympanum represents the coronation of Mary : Christ sets a scepter to his mother, who is crowned by an angel. At the central lintel, the Dormition of the Virgin, in the presence of Christ and the apostles. At the the lower lintel, the Ark is surrounded by prophets who announced the glorious destiny of the Mother of God, Mary and the kings that she's the descendant. Around the central tympanum, the arches are lined with leaves, flowers and fruits. Four cords evoke the heavenly court, with angels, patriarchs, kings and prophets. Altitude 11 meters.
