At the height of the gallery of kings, above the three portals of the west facade. The 28 statues are the kings of Judah and Israel, the ancestors of Christ. In 1870, the Paris Commune, taking them to the kings of France, beheaded on the forecourt. But Viollet le Duc remade the statues a few years later. Above, ahead the great Rose, the statue of the Virgin and Child with two angels. Altitude 19 meters.
