At the height of the gallery of kings, above the three portals of the west facade. The 28 statues are the kings of Judah and Israel, the ancestors of Christ. In 1870, a revolt of the Commune de Paris, taking them to the kings of France, beheaded on the forecourt. But Viollet le Duc remade the statues a few years later, not without taking some liberties with the original (see photos 39 and 40). Visitors enter through the Portal of Saint Anne (d.) and exit through the portal of Virgo (left). At the center, the portal of the Last Judgement, only open for great occasions. Altitude 19 meters.
