Meroitic language, "the Etruscan Africa" remains to be elucidated and remains a key challenge for the decryption of lost civilizations. It is from the second century BC. AD appears to Meroe a specific writing, resulting in the abandonment of Egyptian hieroglyphics in favor of including 23 new alphabetic signs, near the Egyptian cursive writing (use) and Egyptian hieroglyphics (use royal cult). We can therefore read the texts, but we do not yet understand.
Here, a limestone stela (first - third century AD), Which were frequently erected before the Meroitic tombs. The text, standardized, begins with the words "O Isis, O Osiris" and appears similar to many texts found on the tables of offerings.
