This Venus Meroitic sandstone (second or third century AD) comes from the "royal bath" of Meroe, where we discovered the finest examples of sculptures "Hellenized." Amoung these, this famous statue that provides a wonderful example of reinterpretation, according to aesthetic Meroitic canons, of the famous Venus (Aphrodite) of Cnidus, made sculptor Praxiteles.
