14 Vauban citadels in aerial photos, at mid-height (with remote controlled tethered balloon) and ground. They have been classified as World Heritage by Unesco in 2008, the tercentenary of the death of Sebastien Priest, Marshal Vauban (1633-1707). A choice that aims to protect and enhance these fortifications designed by this genius of defensive architecture, which was one of the brightest minds in the time of Louis XIV. Of the 150 sites "Vauban" spread throughout the French territory, the architectural authenticity and representation of all regions have chaired the selection criteria.
